Today's most laughable comment from the campaign trail:National Post - CanadaCHARLESTON, S.C. -- The controversy over Bill Clinton's tactics in the 2008 presidential campaign escalated yesterday as Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton admitted her husband got "carried away" with his criticism of rival Barack Obama in the South Carolina primary contest.
Seeking to tamp down growing anger among African-American voters, the former first lady blamed "sleep deprivation" for a series of remarks by Mr. Clinton that have pushed the issue of race to the forefront of the Democratic contest.
