SWOP homepageFree bus rides on Wednesday!
City Hall will offer free bus service Wednesday as part of “Strive Not to Drive” week. The city is encouraging people to take alternative transportation all week. “With gas at $4 a gallon, it’s important that the public have an alternative to single-occupancy vehicles,” Mayor Martin Chávez said.
There was a Downtown walk on Monday. People are encouraged to carpool to work today. Wednesday is free bus day, and, on Thursday, city bus riders can show their transfer or bus pass to get on the Rail Runner train for free. Friday is bike-to-work day. People who sign a pledge card will be eligible for prizes. Visit www.cabq.gov to learn more.

And as long as the buses don't run late enough to cover for the people who work the 2nd shift, (ie until 12am) then this is just BS. I would ride my bike and bus EVERY DAY if it ran until midnight. But NOOOOOO....
