The real answer to this "keep families together" bugaboo is very simple: the children of illegals go back with their illegal immigrant parents to the parents home countries. Then when [they], the only ones in that family which deserve U.S. citizenship, are 18 they can come back to the U.S. and take up their citizenship if they so desire.
Those who sneak across the border in defiance of a nations laws have no place there.
And before you try dropping the 'racist' card... I have a high percentage of Native American - and I do repect the laws of my country!

Silly laws have silly folks who back them. The truth of the matter is that people aren't illegal. If it's easier to cross a desert and risk health and life than to comply with immigration law, then the law is unjust.
Money, services and whole companies cross the border without hassle.
So too should people.
But I suppose if indigenous folks had thought of keeping folks out 500 years ago, we wouldn't be worried about it now.
I have to ask, which country's laws do you respect? 'Cause if it's the US, the country that broke more treaties than one can count, I'm worried about your sanity.
