The general sense was that SWOP would support anyone that wanted to participate in the national strike by providing space and being a resource for folks. IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE NATIONAL CALL FOR ACTION FOR IMMIGRATION
REFORM AND INTERNATIONAL WORKERS’ DAY
PEACEFUL MARCH
MAY 1st


ATTENTION WORKER/STUDENT: If you decide to participate in the national strike and you have questions about your rights, call us. For more information, El CENTRO de Igualdad y Derechos al 246 -1627.

The following organizations endorse the march for immigration reform/International/worker’s day: Southwest Organizing Project, Southwest Network for Environmental and Economic Justice, Community Health Partnership, Partido La Raza Unida, Grey Panthers, IWW Albuquerque, East Central Ministiries (final list will be published the day of the march).

We are all going to wear white or a white ribbon to represent solidarity and peace.

IT’S A NO PURCHASE DAY!

To show that we are a unified community we will have white flags instead of national flags.

• Yes to providing a path to citizenship for workers and undocumented students.
• Yes to providing visas and workplace protections for future immigrant workers.
• No to criminalization of immigrants or those who work with them.
• No to the militarization of our borders and our communities.

3:00 00-5:00 00- TIGUEX PARK (Mountain/18th) for information, live music and fun for the whole family. As it is a no purchase day, take a picnic lunch for your family.

5:00 00— Peaceful march from the park to the Civic Plaza
(3rd/Tijeras)

6:00 00- short rally at Civic plaza and then march back to park.
